Wrangell Mountain Renaissance

If you know us, you know we love bringing people together. Here at Wrangell Mountain Homestead, the land has always been more than just a place to live or work, it’s a place where stories get shared, friendships form, and something a little magical tends to happen when folks gather.
That’s why we’re really excited to say: we’re bringing a Renaissance Faire to the Copper Center area.
In the past, we’ve hosted Amtgard events here at the homestead. We kept those gatherings small on purpose, focusing on creating safe, welcoming spaces where people could relax, play, and connect without feeling rushed or crowded. Those events taught us a lot — how to run things smoothly, how to care for the land while hosting people, and how important atmosphere really is.
Now, we’re ready to stretch ourselves a bit.
This faire is a bigger challenge than what we’ve done before, and honestly, that’s part of what makes it exciting. We’re keeping the heart of what’s always worked for us, but scaling up just enough to create something new, immersive, and full of life — without losing that grounded, community feel.
What we’re most looking forward to is connecting with locals. The Copper River area is packed with creative, talented, interesting people, and we’d love this faire to be a place where neighbors meet neighbors, families spend the day together, and everyone feels welcome.
We’re also reaching out to vendors and entertainers who want to help bring the village to life, artists, musicians, performers, and makers who love what they do and want to share it. The goal is to build something that feels like a living world for a weekend, not just an event you pass through.
Most of all, this is meant to be a fun, family-friendly experience. We want kids to feel enchanted, adults to feel relaxed, and everyone to leave smiling, tired in the good way, and already talking about next time. Think music in the trees, laughter drifting across the grounds, and moments that feel simple, joyful, and memorable.
We’re excited, we’re a little nervous (in the best way), and we can’t wait to see this come together, not just for us, but for the whole Copper Center community.
More details soon. We hope you’ll come be part of it.
